![]() ![]() Throughout the Reshape process, we have aimed to support those facing job reductions by helping them to find and engage with internal and external opportunities to reskill and upskill. We have constantly sought to show care for anyone losing their role. We have sought at all times to conduct the job reductions process in accordance with our core values of honesty, integrity and respect for people. We have around 3,000 people that are leaving on SVS. In certain markets, we provided the opportunity for selected voluntary severance (SVS), in order to reduce the number of enforced redundancies. As a result of different notice periods in various markets, people are continuing to leave until the end of 2022. The Reshape initiative in 2021 involved job reductions in line with our expectation that around 8,000 jobs will be reduced by the end of 2022. This new structure was created with the aim of reducing costs and making us a more competitive organisation that is agile and better able to respond to customers. ![]() In August, we launched our new organisational structure as part of the Reshape initiative. There were a total of 87,000 employees at December 31, 2020, and December 31, 2019. The employee numbers presented here are the full-time equivalent number of people employed by Shell on a full- or part-time basis, working in Shell subsidiaries, Shell-operated joint operations, seconded to non-Shell-operated joint operations, or joint ventures and associates.Īt December 31, 2021, there were a total of 82,000 employees at Shell. We also leverage local resources and keep manufacturing and distribution local to cut down on fuel consumption wasted in transportation. Towards this, we increasingly use green fuels like biomass energy and wind energy. As a part of our Vision & Mission, we promote energy conservation by reducing the unnecessary use of precious natural resources. The onus lies on the shoulders of corporate citizens to act responsibly.įulfilling this responsibility, we at Johnson have initiated several measures, both big and small. jeopardizing the future of our planet, and the human race itself.
